Second Term Course Registration |

Students should take note of the following schedules on course registration, and complete course registration under CUSIS on the specified date. |

Students whose expected term of graduation is 1st term 2025-26 will NOT be allocated any time slot for course registration. If they need to register courses in 2nd term, please approach Major Programme to seek approval, with justifications, to change the expected graduation term. |

Information for Second Term Course Registration |

Students SHOULD check Teaching Timetable for 2nd term 2025-26 under CUSIS and the following information on RES website (http://www.res.cuhk.edu.hk) which will be available from 30 October 2025. Please contact the Registration and Examinations Section (RES) or the relevant course offering departments/units concerned for any queries. |

General Regulations Concerning Registration and Course Selection |

Students should always check Major, Minor, and other University requirements stipulated under the Undergraduate Student Handbook at the website of the Academic and Quality Section of the Registry. They may also use “My Academic Requirements” in “Academic Progress” tile under CUSIS to monitor their own academic progress and check their course fulfillment for graduation. |

Before course registration, students should check the language of instruction of relevant classes under ‘Language’ of the Teaching Timetable, and should communicate with the course teaching staff concerned if they have any difficulty in understanding the language used in the class. |

Application for Exceeding Term Course Load |
|||||||||||
|
Please observe Clauses 5.1-5.3 of the General Regulations Governing Full-time Undergraduate Studies regarding course load to be taken in any academic term. |
||||||||||||
|
Any students under special circumstances who have to apply for exceeding term course load MUST submit the application under CUSIS within the following application periods for exceeding course load. They SHOULD also read the information on RES website before submitting the application. LATE applications will NOT be considered. Year 1 students admitted to the 4-year curriculum (NOT senior-year places) should also check the RES website regarding the “Maximum Term Course Load for Year 1 Students” before submitting the application for exceeding term course load. |

CUSIS System Functions and Important Notes for Course Enrolment |
|||||||||||
|
|
Students may use CUSIS system functions to validate, enroll, drop, swap and update (i.e. make changes to their tutorials) the courses. Please refer to this page for further information. |
|||||||||||
|
5. |
Second Term, 2025-26 Add/Drop Arrangements |

ii. |
During the e-add/drop period, students should use the system functions under CUSIS to make adjustments to course enrolment, except for courses with “add/drop consent” which are to be handled by submission of hard copy form. |

iii. |
Students should note that the wait list captured under CUSIS will remain in the system until the close of e-add/drop period, unless otherwise decided by the departments concerned. If students do not intend to take the course, they should remove their name from the wait list on their own as soon as possible. |

Summer Session |
|||||||||||
|
|
Teaching timetable and course selection information for Summer Session to be held in summer 2026 will be announced around late February and late March 2026 respectively. |
|||||||||||
|
7. |
Typhoon and Rainstorm Arrangements for Course Registration and Add/drop |
|||||||||||
|
Course registration and add/drop under CUSIS will NOT be suspended or postponed regardless of the weather conditions. |
