Important Information – 2nd term Academic Results, Change Major/Study Period, Declare 2nd Major/Degree, and Course Registration for 2025-26

Dear Students,    

Please take note of the following pertaining to term/ graduation assessment of 2024-25, as well as other important information in relation to various applications and preparations for the new academic year in 2025-26, and take actions as appropriate:

1.

Academic results for 2^nd term 2024-25 will be released on 28 May 2025. Students with academic problems (e.g. academic probation, extended academic probation or discontinuation) will receive individual notifications by e-mail/mail and they need to observe the notifications and take necessary actions by the deadline, if applicable.

The graduation results (i.e. honours classification) will be released tentatively on 16 July 2025 on the webpage of RES (https://www.res.cuhk.edu.hk/en-gb/graduates).

Information on “Change Major, Change Study Period, Declare 2nd Major and Register 2nd Degree 2025-26” has been posted on RES website. The application periods are listed below. Applications from students MUST be submitted in accordance with the prescribed procedures.

•  Register 2^nd degree                     : 12 May - 2 June 2025 

•  Change major*                             : 2 - 27 June 2025

•  Change study period                    : 2 - 27 June 2025

•  Declare 2^nd major#

                     1^st term                        : 8 - 19 September 2025 

                     2^nd term                       : 12 - 23 January 2026

*Students who have submitted change of Major under CUSIS MUST confirm their acceptance of new Major (if applicable) under CUSIS from 8 – 14 July 2025. Otherwise, their approved new Major will be void after this deadline.

Please observe the following schedule for 1^st term 2025-26 course registration and add/drop. Relevant details on the subject “Information on 1^st Term Course Registration and Add/Drop 2025-26” will be posted on RES website around mid-July 2025.
