Important Information regarding the Start of the New Academic Year 2025-26 |
Dear Students, |
Please note the following important information in relation to the start of the new academic year 2025-26 and course enrolment under CUSIS. |
1. |
Update personal information under CUSIS |
All students should review their own personal information under CUSIS, and update the information whenever necessary. The University may need to contact you and/or your emergency contact person by phone/mail whenever urgent situations arise. For students who are going to graduate in 2025-26, please be reminded that upon graduation, students' personal data will be converted to alumni data for further communication and other purposes, where applicable. |
2. |
Check Major, Study Period and Expected Graduation Term under CUSIS |
For students who have applied and been approved for declaration/change of major or study period with effect from 1 August 2025, they should check carefully under CUSIS ‘My Academics’ whether the records have been updated and are accurate. Besides, all students should also check carefully their expected term of graduation since they will only be assessed for graduation in that particular term. If there are any discrepancies, they MUST report to RES for clarifications. |
3. |
First Term Course Enrollment under CUSIS |
• |
Students should check their time appointments for course selection in “Enrollment Dates” under CUSIS starting from 4 August 2025. It is students' responsibility to check the time appointments under CUSIS and logon CUSIS at the designated time periods for course registration. For details of course enrollment, please refer to “First Term, 2025-26 Course Registration and Add/Drop” posted on RES website. |
• |
As departments may make amendments to the timetable information and/or course enrolment rules, students MUST check their eligibility to enroll the course(s) prior to course registration. |
• |
Students should always refer to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) first and contact RES by email (This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it.) with screen capture of the problem message if they encounter any problems during course registration. |

Please take note of the updated “Use of Artificial Intelligence Tools in Teaching, Learning and Assessments – A Guide for Students” which is available at this website: https://www.aqs.cuhk.edu.hk/documents/A-guide-for-students_use-of-AI-tools.pdf. Each course will adopt an approach on the use of AI tools in students’ learning activities and/or assessments and the details will be spelt out clearly in the course outline or learning activity/assessment guide. Please study the course outline and/or learning activity/assessment guide of individual assignments in detail and ensure that you follow the instruction and seek clarification from the course teacher if in doubt. Any improper/unauthorized use of AI tools in learning activities and assessments will be handled in accordance with the University’s Procedures for Handling Cases of Academic Dishonesty.
