Declaration/Change of Minor(s) 2024-25
If not due to illness or other health reasons, students should attend the Centralized Course Examinations according to their individual examination timetable, and should only apply for absence from examinations for compelling reasons/events, which cannot be rescheduled (e.g. to participate in competition, to attend job interview, to sit for external/professional examinations, to attend funeral of relatives, etc.). Documents/information such as invitation letters from the competition organizer, interview letter/email from company, external examination schedule, information showing that the event cannot be rescheduled, etc. should be submitted as supporting evidence for consideration by the relevant authority. Please refer to FAQ1 for application details.
Please note that application for absence from examinations due to non-compelling reasons (e.g. to attend graduation ceremony), to attend events that can be rescheduled (e.g. drivers license test), or early purchase of air tickets will normally NOT be accepted as reason for application for absence from examinations.
If you are tested positive for COVID-19 using Rapid Antigen Test (RAT), please report via “Declaration System for individuals tested positive for COVID-19 using Rapid Antigen Test” of the Government and download the Isolation Order as supporting document to apply for absence.
If you have also made use of specimen collection stations for polymerase chain reaction (PCR) testing, please submit the positive test result (e.g. SMS message) as supporting evidence to apply for absence.
If you have sought medical advice at Hospital Authority Designated Clinics for COVID-19 Confirmed Cases, please provide medical certificate to apply for absence.
The supporting document obtained in one of the above categories can be submitted to the offices concerned to apply for absence from Centralized Course Examinations. Please refer to FAQ1 for application details.
Please note that the Centralized Online Course Examinations will CONTINUE as scheduled in the Examination Timetable in any weather conditions, including when the Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above and/or Black Rainstorm Signal is hoisted.
