Important Information for Full-time Undergraduate Students for the Summer 2023

Dear Students,    

Please take note of the following pertaining to term/ graduation assessment of 2022-23, and other important information in relation to various applications and preparations for the new academic year 2023-24.  Please take appropriate actions (if applicable).

1.

Academic results for 2^nd term 2022-23 will be released on 1 June 2023.  Students with academic problems (e.g. academic probation, extended academic probation or discontinuation) will receive individual notifications by e-mail/mail and they need to observe the notifications and take necessary actions by the deadline, if applicable.

For graduating students, the graduation results (i.e. honours classification) will be released on 19 July 2023 on RES homepage (http://www.res.cuhk.edu.hk).

Information on “Change Major, Declare 2nd Major, Change Study Period and Register 2nd Degree 2023-24” has been posted on RES homepage.  The application periods are listed below.  Eligible students MUST follow the prescribed procedures for submitting the applications.

•  Register 2^nd degree                     : 15 May - 5 June 2023 

•  Change major*                             : 5 - 30 June 2023

•  Change study period                   : 5 - 30 June 2023

•  Declare 2^nd major#

                     1^st term                      : 11 - 22 September 2023 

                     2^nd term                     : 15 - 26 January 2024

*Students MUST confirm their acceptance of new Major under CUSIS from 10 – 14 July 2023 (applicable to students who submit change of Major under CUSIS).  Otherwise, their approved new Major will be void after this deadline.

Please observe the following schedule for 1^st term course registration and add/drop.  For details, students should enquire the “Information on 1^st Term Course Selection and Add/Drop 2023-24” which will be posted on RES homepage around mid-July 2023.
