Dear Students, |
According to the CUSIS record, you are expected to graduate in 2nd term 2025-26. Please take note of the following and take appropriate action(s), if necessary. For detailed information and the related application forms, please refer to “Important Information for Graduating Students in 2nd term 2025-26” under “Information for Current Students” on the RES website. |
1. Check Course Fulfillment for Graduation |
Please select “Academic Progress” > “My Academic Requirements” under CUSIS to run the “Academic Advisement Report” to check if you have any outstanding requirements for graduation. Except for some major/ minor programmes with specific requirements (please refer to the list of programmes under “Important Information for Graduating Students in 2nd term 2025-26” on RES website), the report generated by CUSIS may serve as a general reference whether a student has fulfilled all the requirements for graduation. Students should always refer to the updated study schemes of individual programmes and the relevant regulations applicable to their studies which are available at the Undergraduate Student Handbook in checking their graduation fulfillment. Those students with unfulfilled requirements will receive an email from RES in around early May 2026 stating the outstanding graduation requirements. Students who fail to declare the concentration/stream required by their major programme by the specified deadline (see point 3 below) will also receive the above notification. |
2. Application for Change of Expected Graduation Term |
Deadline for form submission: |
29 May 2026 |
Students who cannot fulfill all graduation requirements by the academic year 2025-26* should complete the form “Application for Change of Expected Graduation Term” available on RES website and submit it by the above deadline to apply for change of expected graduation term. |
3. Declare Concentration/ Stream |
Application period: |
2 – 27 February 2026 |
According to the study schemes, some major programmes offer optional/compulsory concentrations/streams. Approved concentration(s)/stream(s) will be recorded on students’ academic transcripts. Students should check their major study scheme and refer to the document “Declaration/Change of Concentration(s)/Stream(s)” on RES website and take actions, as appropriate. Late applications will NOT be accepted. |
4. Declare/Check fulfillment of Minor Programme |
Application deadline under CUSIS: |
18 April 2026 |
Please check the course fulfillment for the minor programme(s) (if already declared) using the “Academic Advisement Report” under CUSIS. If it is necessary to make changes, e.g. drop minor or add new minor, please apply under CUSIS using “Program-Related Change Application” by the above deadline. For details, please refer to the document “Declaration/Change of Minor(s) (2025-26)” on RES website. Late applications will NOT be accepted. |
5. Course Substitution and Course Exemption |
Deadline for form submission: |
4 May 2026 |
Students should follow the study schemes specified in the Undergraduate Student Handbook for fulfillment of graduation requirements. However, under special circumstances as listed below, students should complete and submit the relevant application form (which can be downloaded from RES homepage) for approval by the relevant departments so that RES can update their fulfillment of graduation requirements under CUSIS.
6. Check Major GPA and Major Upper GPA |
Students can also check their updated Major GPA and Major Upper GPA in the “Academic Advisement Report” under CUSIS after the release of 2nd term academic results. Please refer to the Regulations relating to graduation under the Undergraduate Student Handbook in checking graduation requirements. Please be reminded that the “Academic Advisement Report” generated by CUSIS only serves as a general reference. System logic on checking fulfillment or other technical issues may affect the accuracy of the report. Besides, course exemptions or requirements stipulated for individual students (e.g. some students are given permission by departments to fulfill the requirement of one required course by another course) may also affect the results. Therefore, the results of graduation assessment performed by the University shall be regarded as FINAL. |
7. Check Your Personal Information and Transcript Remark(s) (if applicable) under CUSIS |
Please be reminded to carefully check your registered name in BOTH Chinese and English under CUSIS (select “Profile” > “Personal Detail”) to ensure that it will be correctly printed on your academic transcript, letter certifying completion of studies and degree certificate. In addition, please also check if all relevant transcript remark(s) (e.g., suspension of studies, participation in exchange programme), if applicable, have been inputted in your transcript correctly, by generating the unofficial transcript under CUSIS (select “Academic Records” > “View Unofficial Transcript” and choose “UG Unofficial (Eng)”. |
