Important Information – 2nd term Academic Results, Change Major/Study Period, Declare 2nd Major/Degree, and Course Registration for 2026-27

Dear Students,

Please note the following pertaining to term/ graduation assessment of 2025-26, as well as other important information in relation to applications and preparations for the 2026-27 academic year.  Kindly take actions as appropriate:

1. Academic results for 2^nd term 2025-26 will be released on 28 May 2026.  Students with academic problems (e.g. academic probation, extended academic probation, or discontinuation) will receive individual notifications by e-mail/mail and they need to refer the notifications and take necessary action by the deadline, if applicable.

   Tentatively, graduation results (i.e. honours classification) will be released on 15 July 2026 via the RES website under “Graduates”  (https://www.res.cuhk.edu.hk/graduates/).

2. Information on “Change Major, Change Study Period, Declare 2nd Major and Register 2nd Degree 2026-27” has been posted on the RES website.  Applications MUST be submitted in accordance with the prescribed procedures within the following periods.
   

   Register 2nd degree	:	11 May – 1 June 2026
   Change major*	:	1 – 26 June 2026
   Change study period	:	1 – 26 June 2026
   Declare 2nd major#
   1st term	:	14 – 25 September 2026
   2nd term	:	18 – 29 January 2027

   *Students who have submitted a change of Major under CUSIS MUST confirm acceptance of the new Major (if applicable) under CUSIS from 7 – 13 July 2026.  Failure to confirm will result in the cancellation of the approved change.

3. Please observe the following schedule for course registration and add/drop in 1^st term 2026-27.  Relevant details on the subject “Information on 1^st Term Course Registration and Add/Drop 2026-27” will be posted on RES website around mid-July 2026.  Students can also check their time appointment for course registration via CUSIS nearer the time.

   1^st term course registration and add/drop

   14 August 2026	:	Year 4 or above and final year students, Year 3 or above students admitted with Advanced Standing and Year 2 or above students admitted to senior-year places
   18 August 2026	:	Year 3 students and Year 2 students admitted with Advanced Standing
   19 August 2026	:	Year 2 students
   1 September 2026	:	New students
   7 – 18 September 2026	:	1st term course add/drop
