Course Fulfillment, Major GPA, Major Upper GPA, Degree Conferment and Degree Certificate

Dear Students,

As you are about to graduate after completion of studies in 2025-26 Term 2, kindly take note of the following and take actions as appropriate.

1.       Check Fulfillment of Graduation Requirements 

Check via CUSIS (“Academic Progress” -> “My Academic Requirements” and “Academic Progress” -> “Planner”) to confirm if you still have any outstanding requirement(s) for graduation.  You may still apply for change of expected graduation term using the application form on RES website by 29 May 2026 if you cannot fulfill all graduation requirements by 2025-26 Term 2 and/or Summer Session of 2025-26.

Please also check under “My Academics” whether related academic records e.g., 2nd Major, Minor(s), Concentration(s)/ Stream(s) of Major Programme are correct, if applicable.  Kindly note that the deadline for declaration/change of Minor(s) for students whose expected graduation term is 2025-26 Term 2 (including Summer Session) is 29 May 2026.  You MUST make declaration/change of Minor(s) by the specified deadline.  Discrepancies, if any, MUST be reported to RES by 10 June 2026.  Late declaration/report will NOT be accepted.

Students who cannot fulfill the requirements for the declared Minor Programme(s) will receive email notification from RES around late June 2026 notifying the cancellation of their unfulfilled Minor Programme(s). 

2.       Check Major GPA and Major Upper GPA

The grades for 2025-26 Term 2 will be released on 28 May 2026.  Please check your Major GPA and Major Upper GPA in the “Advisement Report” via CUSIS after the grades have been released.  Students, in particular those who have applied for course substitution/ equivalence, MUST check the list of courses that are included in the calculation of Major GPA/ Major Upper GPA.  As Major GPA is one of the criteria for determination of honours classification, you MUST report to RES by 17 June 2026 at the latest if you find any error or have any queries about the Major GPA shown under your “Advisement Report” in CUSIS.  Late report will NOT be handled under any circumstances.

Please also note that you must re-run the “Advisement Report” and check your updated Major GPA/ Major Upper GPA again if there is a change in grade(s) in your Major course(s).

3.       Grade Appeal/ Pending Requirements for Graduation

Students wishing to lodge an appeal regarding the grade of a particular course MUST contact the course teacher within 2 weeks of the grade release date.  Any grade appeal made after the specified grade appeal period will NOT be accepted.  Students should proactively follow up with the course teachers concerned for any pending grades after the grade release date.  For students still with pending grades/documents/records (e.g., outstanding course grades, official transcripts for course and unit exemptions for outgoing exchange students, unresolved disciplinary action) in mid-June 2026 during which graduation assessment is being conducted, the release of their graduation results will be postponed to mid-August 2026 or a later date.

4.       Release of Degree Honours Classification Results and Degree Conferment Date

(i) The results of degree honours classifications for students without any pending graduation requirements/records at the time of graduation assessment (i.e., around mid-June 2026) will be released on RES website on 15 July 2026.  Their degree conferment date will be 31 July 2026.

(ii) For students who have taken or will take courses in the Summer Session and/or with pending grades/documents/records at the time of graduation assessment of 2025-26 Term 2, their degree honours classification results will be released in mid-August 2026 or at a later date, depending on the fulfilment of conditions for graduation.  Their degree conferment date will be 15 October 2026.

5.       Degree Certificates Distribution Date

(i) The degree certificates will be available according to the schedule below:

(ii) Students should refer to our notice to be posted in early August 2026 for details regarding the collection of the degree certificate.
