Re: CUSIS Blackout Period from 6:00 pm on 28 February to 8:45 am on 11 March 2020
Further to our mass mailing dated 5 February 2020, as informed by the Information Technology Service (ITSC), the major system upgrade of the Chinese University Student Information System (CUSIS) will now be performed starting from next Friday and CUSIS will NOT be available for use from 6:00 pm on 28 February to 8:45 am on 11 March 2020 (the blackout period). Please take note of the followings:
|1.||If you have submitted application for course and unit exemptions under CUSIS, please review carefully your application by 25 February 2020. If you have NOT yet submitted all the required documents such as official transcript and course outlines, your will not be able to access your application during the CUSIS blackout period to make any changes, and this may delay the processing of the application.|
|2.||Online applications for transcripts, certifying letters and reports on curriculum details will be suspended from 6:00 pm on 28 February to 5:30 pm on 10 March 2020. Please submit your application(s) to RES on or before 25 February 2020 to avoid possible delay in processing.|
|3.||If you need to change your mailing address, please do so as soon as possible before 27 February 2020 so that the system can record the updated mailing address.|
Also as you will NOT be able to retrieve records under CUSIS during the blackout period, you may wish to keep/save a copy of your unofficial transcript showing the full record of your grades and course history up to the moment before CUSIS is shut down for the upgrade at 6:00 pm on 28 February 2020. Please also review your own academic records after CUSIS is back to service at 8:45a.m. on 11 March 2020. Any discrepancies MUST be reported to RES as soon as possible and not later than 19 March 2020.
Thank you for your attention.
With best regards,
